If you’re new to Kratom, you might be wondering about what the correct Kratom dosage is for your needs. And, well, that depends on you and your needs! Read on to learn how to properly figure out your perfect Kratom dosage.
Finding the Right Kratom Dosage for You
Since Kratom isn’t a prescription medicine by your doctor, it doesn’t come with instructions for how much to take. Further, there is no “one size fits all” dosage for Kratom. In reality, there will be some trial and error here. What we advise our customers to do is to start out small. If you don’t take enough Kratom you won’t feel much of anything. However, taking too much Kratom could cause you some nausea and stomach upset. Don’t worry, though, an extra gram isn’t going to have your stomach doing backflips. But still, start small and work your way up to find your perfect Kratom dosage worry free!
We recommend starting out with just a couple grams of Kratom for your first dose. Our Kratom capsules have just over half a gram of Kratom inside of them, so taking 3 to start off with would be a great beginner dose. From your beginner dose, be aware of how you are feeling. If you are getting the desired effects, great! You’ve found your perfect dose. If you’re not quite feeling it, wait a few hours, and take a little bit more on your next dose. Every body is different and will metabolize Kratom at different rates.
Kratom Dosages for Different Uses
Just like your body will process Kratom differently from mine, there are different reasons that people take Kratom. Some people take Kratom to help them with pain, some people take Kratom to boost energy, and some folks are taking Kratom to help manage opiate withdrawal symptoms. Each of these uses will have a different Kratom dosage.
Kratom can be sedative if taken in higher doses. So, for example, if you’re taking Kratom to help you with insomnia, you’ll take a higher dose than someone looking to stay productive during the day. Smaller doses of Kratom can be mood and energy boosting, so if you’re looking for a morning pick me up, stay to the smaller side of your dose.
Kratom Colors and Doses
Further than different doses for different uses, also keep in mind that different colors of Kratom have different effects. If you’re the insomniac, you’ll want to reach for a red strain. Tips & Tricks: Keep a Journal
You might take your first dose of Kratom and find that it was the perfect dosage and never have to worry about it again. However, you might have a little more trial and error finding what works for you.

Whether it’s on your phone or ink and paper, keeping tabs of the specific Kratom dosage you took, what strain it was, and a record of its effects can be helpful in finding the Kratom that works for you.
